About Me:

I’ve memorized nearly every lyric of Hamilton. I can scream louder than anyone at a Relient K concert. Sometimes I put on black dresses and heavy makeup. I like sandwiches and ice cream. I sing the whole three-hour car ride to and from school. I draw people and sometimes places. I’ve never missed a class in my life. My roommate makes sure I get through school and I make sure she has a little fun. I like adventures. I’ve religiously journaled since 7th grade. I have written a hundred songs people haven’t heard. I have a crush on pop punk music. My faith is important to me. I am an advocate for mental health awareness. TWLOHA is my favorite organization. I’d love to someday work for Fueled By Ramen. I am genuinely happy to be alive.

About My Blog:

I have wanted to get back to blogging for a little while now, but the time never seemed right. It is right now. I was going to name this place Hopeful Undertone after a lyric in Twenty One Pilot’s “Migraine” but changed the name to Anthem of My Soul after a lyric in Switchfoot’s “Hope Is The Anthem” for reasons I might eventually write about. While this blog is meant to give a glimpse into my thoughts and journey through college, it is more importantly meant to show others that there is hope in life. I’ve been through a lot, and I never want it to come across that everything is perfect now, but I do believe hope and healing is possible, and that life should be lived to the fullest.

I’m here, if you ever want someone to talk to. I’ll talk to you.
